Nevis

With the moniker ‘Queen of the Caribees,’ it goes without saying that this unspoiled island is one of the Caribbean’s most precious jewels. Sublime beauty, blue skies, rainforests and jungles punctuated with vivid green foliage, and miles of long, semi-private beaches invite visitors to do nothing but relax. Inhale the fragrant scent of bougainvillea scattered throughout Nevis, as hummingbirds hover above the vibrant blossoms. Encounter donkeys, monkeys, goats, and tropical birds in their natural habitat.

Nevis Peak, enveloped in a blanket of fluffy clouds, has a postcard-perfect panoramic view of the island. Hike to the top of this volcano where you can spot Antigua and other Caribbean islands across the cerulean waters. Walk amongst cedar trees, soak in hot springs, snorkel over coral reefs, marvel at sunken ships or go on a deep-sea fishing excursion. Horseback ride along the beach, practice your golf swing on the Robert Trent Jones course at the Four Seasons Resort, indulge in a spa wellness treatment and close the day with a private sunset sail.

When you aren’t unwinding at Lovers Beach, Pinney’s Beach, or Nisbet Plantation Beach, explore Charlestown and visit the Museum of Nevis History, birthplace of one of America’s founding fathers, Alexander Hamilton, who lived on the island until age nine. End your evenings dining at upscale restaurants, sampling delightful Caribbean dishes while enjoying a refreshing glass of Nevisian Rum Punch.
